Its definitely true that social media is changing the way we interact with each other, and this was evident during the World Cup. Personally I was involved with one facebook conversation regarding the World Cup, but I'm sure many people used it extensively.

I don't think that television should be threatened by social media but I'm sure there will be more merging between the two.

I'd be curious to see if you could lay out an example of how you would tie a current event like a political event or a natural disaster to drive SEO traffic for a client - where is the relevance with something like that and a hotel you're doing SEO for, or a coffee seller or anything else for that matter?

QDF is quite the new concept and term. Having already practiced this on several websites, I can definitely say it has a positive effect and if used correctly can drive some decent traffic.

Great post Jonatas!

I think the thing the World Cup has proven is that the world is becoming a smaller place thanks to social media. I've been 'twittering' people all over the world during the last few weeks - which creates a real community of football fans around the globe.

And the best bit is that i'm able to keep up with the latest scores without getting in trouble with my boss!

Great post Felipe, on the money as always.

One proven way of significantly reducing shopping cart abandonments is through the use of product videos. These highlight the way in which a product works, and any special features it may have.

These videos can also decrease the amounts of product returns too - essential for any ecommerce website.

For web designers, mobile web design is becoming an easy way to acquire new clients. It amazes me how few web design companies are offering this for their clients.

There is huge potential for advertising in the mobile-web market. Marketing ploys like Orange's Orange Wednesday are really successful and I can imagine other companies doing similar things. But I can imagine also that at some point the market will reach saturation and perhaps won't increase to the projected levels.
