Are you looking for some keyword ideas and you want to be as creative as possible? Tap into Google and expand upon your keyword research. Google is one of the best ways to find keyword ideas, and the process is incredibly simple.

For the first step, you need to come up with keyword ideas. For example, if you sell fruit juice, you will use fruit juice as your main keyword and come up with ideas related to that term.

Take the term you have selected and then type it into Google using this format: allintitle: ~fruit juice

The tilde tells Google you are looking for synonyms related to the main word.

Once it is typed in, you will see a list of results displayed. The synonyms will be in bold. You will be able to scroll down the page and find countless synonyms. Some you will not be interested in, but others will be exactly what you are looking for in a keyword.
Write down the synonyms you are interested in and then plug them into a keyword program so you can get statistics and find out more about the word. You will find some great keywords in the process.

The keyword tool will give you further recommendations. You will end up with a large list of keywords you can choose from. You will be able to find the ones that are the most effective for your campaign.

This is a great way to find keywords you would not have thought about. Many of the most popular keywords are missed because people simply do not think of them. A keyword tool is not perfect and can only lead someone in the direction they take it in. thus, a search engine such as Google can be incredibly helpful.

Keyword research relies on creativity and you can tap into your creativity by using Google. You will find more words than you normally would have and enjoy the success of a creative campaign.

Keyword research is always improving, and you can be a leader by using this trick. You will save time and come up with better keywords than you would if you were using a keyword research tool on its own. If you really want the best keywords possible, go over to Google today.

People often take the difficult approach to finding keywords. They spend hours and hours planning a keyword strategy, but when they put it into motion, it fails. Why does it fail? Sometimes research is not as accurate as one would like. When that happens, they have to start from the beginning once again and search for the right keywords.

If you want to really find the best keywords for your site, you can use paid search in order to find results. You will actually see how certain keywords perform when they are used by real people. This will not be based on statistics that have been gathered over time. It will not be a computer generated suggestion. Instead you will see the facts based on how keywords do. You will watch the keywords and see how they perform in real life situations.

In order to do this in the most effective way possible, be sure to pick a wide variation of keywords. Use plurals and synonyms. Then, let them go to work. See how many impressions these keywords get. Then, you will know how often they are searched.

You can examine each keyword individually in order to see which ones were the most popular. The keywords that did not trigger results should be discarded, even if a keyword research program said they were the best. Sometimes programs make mistakes. They are not out in the trenches, looking at real life results in real time. Keyword research programs are incredibly helpful, but they are not always completely accurate. That is why it is important to use different research methods in order to find the best keywords for the situation.

After the research is over, you will have a nice set of keywords to use for your campaign. You will then be able to use keywords you know will work.

Remember to analyze the competition for the keywords. Keep in mind that organic search results are different than paid results. You can tell the popularity in terms of searches through paid results. However, you need to make sure you can also rank in an organic search.

There are lots of keyword tools at your disposal. Make sure you use as many as possible so you will have an effective campaign. Do not limit yourself, as that will create a problem for your campaign.

When it comes to search engine marketing, simply focusing on today is not enough. The right SEO company is going to look toward the future as well, which is why keyword trends are so important.

Even though you cannot predict the future, you can find keyword trends. There are tools an SEO company needs to use in order to find the trends regarding keywords. By knowing the trends, the company can better serve its clients.

Google Trends

The first place an SEO company needs to visit to find keyword trends is Google Trends. Whenever you type a keyword into Google Trends you can find out if it is becoming more or less popular. This will show you if a keyword is on the rise or if it is falling.

If a keyword is in the middle of a decline, find a different keyword that will serve you better. Remember, search engine optimization is only going to work if people are searching for the keyword.

Google Insights for Search

Google Insights for Search is another tool each SEO company should use. With this tool, you can get keyword data that is broken down by geographical location as well as categories. In addition, you can get other keyword ideas when you use this tool. The ideas you get can then be analyzed for trends so you will get a better idea of which words are best for search engine optimization. This will help you find new trends and implement them into your search engine optimization strategy.

Twitter Search

When you use Twitter Search, you can actually find out what keywords people are using right now. This helps spot trends, because as people start using keywords and they start becoming more popular, a new trend is born.

You don’t want to just analyze your keywords with this tool. You also want to take a look at other keywords that are used with yours. You can develop a list of keywords that will help you write powerful copy that is search engine optimized.

Analyzing keyword trends is the only way you will be able to predict the future. Remember, search engine optimization is an ever changing game, and every SEO company must stay on top of the trends so they can serve their clients well. Businesses don’t want the hot trends of yesterday. Instead, they need the hot trends of tomorrow so they can always be a step ahead of the competition.

There has been an ongoing debate over how many keywords search engine optimization professionals should use per web page. Some people get out of hand and use keyword after keyword and try to put them all in the copy naturally. The question is, though, is that necessary?

The fact of the matter is, you only need one key phrase per webpage. The phrase can be as long or as short as you want it to be, but you really don’t need more than the one for effective SEO.

The reason behind this is simple. Whenever you optimize a page for lots of different keywords, it is hard to make the page relevant to each keyword. You can’t go into a great amount of detail about each keyword, which makes it only somewhat relevant to each word. This causes a problem when you are trying to get a good ranking for your page.

Whenever you choose just one phrase, you can build a better page that is highly relevant. As you can imagine, this is something the search engines really like.

That does not mean your site should only have one key phrase. You can have a key phrase for each page of your site. They will all be related but they won’t be the same. This will give you the most leverage with the search engines. You will be able to use search engine optimization for each webpage, and you will be able to get a site with a good ranking.

There is an added bonus to using one key phrase for each page. You won’t only optimize your page for the key phrase, but you will also optimize it inadvertently for many other phrases as well. When a phrase consists of many words, each combination will be picked up by the search engines. This gives you the chance to target your customer base with a long key phrase and then have a broad appeal when the phrase is broken up as well.

An example of this is if you had the targeted key phrase “low income credit repair help.” You won’t only have the long phrase. You will also have “credit repair”, “credit repair help”, and other combinations that can come from that phrase.

Concentrate on optimizing for one key phrase per page and your site will do well. Pick the right keywords and you will be able to move up in the search engines.

As an SEO business owner you face the challenge of keeping multiple clients happy while working within their budgetary and technological guidelines. You want to provide the best SEO services you can to get results for the client without breaking your own budget. One of the best ways to bring SEO to clients is through effective and profitable use of keywords. In this posting I’m going to walk you through a few of the strategies and tips I use for finding the best keywords for clients and hope that I can show you a few tricks to help your SEO business as well.

First and foremost – what does the client or website you are trying to apply SEO techniques to provide? Can you put it into one word – or better yet, let the client put it into one word. For example, say you are working for a financial services company. They offer insurance, mortgage and a variety of other financial tools. How do you describe them in one word? Finance? Banking? Wealth? It’s not as easy as you might think – which is why it is so important to get your clients involved in the process. Don’t try and guess at what the ultimate goal is that your client wants to get at.

Next, ask them to describe what they do in two words. Then three, four and five. Why are we doing this? To give ourselves a good selection of keywords to use as a starting point for the client. At this point we are letting them do a majority of the work.

Next, we want them to think of a competitor and then think of how they would find them using a search engine such as Google. The only caveat is they cannot use any of the words they just used in the exercise above!

What’s the point? We are trying to build a list of alternative keywords, brand keywords, competitor names and brands, as well as complementary keywords. From our small “bucket” of keywords we started with we now have expanded to include a wide assortment of keywords that could potentially describe and/or help sell your clients website and services.

Now that we have all these keywords we want to take them and run them through Google’s Keyword Suggestion tool. From this you are going to get a list of results that you will want to filter down and prepare to show your client. This will cover most of the keywords we have already collected in the first steps along with a wide variety of alternative search suggestions.

In less than a half hour you have impressed your client by providing so much data based on such simple questions. You help inspire confidence in your SEO firm with very little effort all on your part. Of course now the trick is to take these keywords we have identified and identify how you want to order them and which words would be most effective. We’ll cover that in a later post — after all, we can’t give all our secrets away at once!

Think about this for a moment – how many ways can you ask someone for directions to a restaurant? I’m sure there are three or four ways we can all think of off the top of our heads, and in reality there are probably hundreds of different ways we could all ask the same question. Now think about the same scenario, except this time instead of asking someone they are typing in the query into a search engine. How in the world you can you apply SEO techniques to help you get the maximum value for queries and ad campaigns without having to design the site around every possible combination?

Luckily, there is a way to help alleviate the multiple word search term problem. It turns out that though there may be hundreds of ways to search for something, luckily the majority of people pretty much tend to use the same phrases in the same order. This is the long-tail problem reversed; instead of focusing in on and tail we are more interested in the head where the majority of the search terms are concentrated.

First, find out how much traffic different orderings of a phrase gets. Luckily there is a free tool out there that every SEO company should be using on a daily (if not hourly!) basis – Google’s AdWords Traffic Estimator SandBox. This handy little tool will immediate show you how much traffic different search terms, and different orderings of those terms, are getting.

Now that you know what ordering is pulling down the most searches, make it a priority to SEO your site for those search terms. Now you may be thinking to yourself that everyone and their brother are doing the same thing, but trust me – go after the big fish first. We’ll come back to the smaller fish in just a bit.

During this step you not only want to do SEO on the page level (keywords, phrases, etc.) but you also want to focus on your inbound links and their anchor text. Now this is a little more difficult since you are trying to influence the behavior of other sites. However, one way to do this is to create badges for the other sites to link to you with. This is not only a great SEO technique, but an excellent marketing technique as well. Think of them as “virtual bumper stickers”!

It’s time now to focus in on page and site optimization. You want to make sure that on the pages you make good use of not only the primary search phrase, but the alternative orderings as well. This could involve using headlines, different phrases or even images with alt text that are using the different search term orderings. You are trying to use the best combination of the terms as you can without going overboard.

Finally, we’re going for the small fish – and our bait is going to be alternative anchor text for sites that are linking to you. Chances are the “big guys” out there already have the anchor text with the most traffic already securely pointing to them, so now is your chance to swoop in and get the alternative orderings of the search terms pointing to you. This may not sound like it will do much, especially for low volume search phrases, but it can give you the boost you need to get into the coveted 5-10 top spots on the search engines!
